In Scotland, the vast majority of eye examinations are provided free of charge by NHS Scotland. The only exception is if you present to us before your normal recall with no new symptoms.

Frames start from £10 and basic lenses are available from £64
We have a range of glasses for patients in receipt of qualifying benefits or tax credits than can be provided entirely free of charge. Check your eligibility at NHS Inform under the section 'NHS Optical Voucher'. Patients are not limited to 'NHS glasses' and can upgrade to better quality products if they so choose.
We also have access to premium, elite and top-of-the-range products that are the best that any manufacturer can supply.

Absolutely. Children's eye care is available at Wallace Opticians and we take great care in providing a high quality service to even the littlest of patients.
Children under 16 (or under 19 in full time education) are eligible for an NHS voucher towards eyewear too.
It is possible to get a same day appointment at Wallace Opticians. We usually have bookings for 1-2 weeks in advance but occasionally do get cancellations.
The best way to get a same day appointment is to keep an eye on our online booking system which is updated live 24 hours a day.
